For SEVENTY YEARS we've been THE MUSICIAN'S CHOICE in Stark County and surrounding areas! Gattuso's Music Center was founded in Canton, Ohio by Charles Gattuso, Sr. in 1936. Charlie always prided himself in filling the needs of the working musician, as well as being the Founding Father of School Music Education in the greater Stark County area. Our local school programs would not be the same today had it not been for Charlie's dedication to the proliferation of music in our local schools. Today, Gattuso's is owned by Charlie's youngest son, Denny, who has always shared his father's passion for Music Education. Denny, himself an accomplished jazz bassist, is a Certified Band Instrument Repair Technician - one of the finest anywhere in the Midwest. Because of Denny's achievements as a band instrument technician, Gattuso's is a proud member of NAPBIRT, the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians. Denny runs Gattuso's along with his wife Suzie, who specializes in getting hard-to-find sheet music and karaoke material for customers from all over the area. Bob Jones is Gattuso's Music Center's General Manager and Vice President. Having worked along side Denny for more than a quarter century, Bob has a hand's-on working knowledge of virtually every aspect of the music business. When the local pros from Northeast Ohio need advice, it's Bob they call for the right answers. Bob's special expertise comes in the area of live sound and P.A. equipment. Gattuso's Music Center's "jack of all trades" is John Soptelean. John is the "real deal" - a bonafide heavy metal guitar-shredding virtuoso with unique chops and a dangerous sound! John looks after the guitars for Gattuso's, and caters to the younger customers looking to build guitar rigs that can move walls and penetrate the ozone layer. John is also Denny's band instrument repair apprentice, learning the craft from the master himself.
